FOCUS:  Landscape

Late this afternoon I visited the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, which is located several miles south of Denver.  This was my first visit to these gardens, and I must say that I discovered quite a gem!  This location is actually a working farm nestled along the banks of Deer Creek, just a stone’s throw away from the foothills.  For a mere $5/car entry fee, you can step back in time to circa ‘Little House on the Prairie’ days and relish in the beauty of a bygone era.  There are ponies, goats and chickens; dilapidated barns and old farm equipment; …even an old schoolhouse.  What a treasure!
