We were having fun with a fan this morning. I just love her expressions.
We are always so much harder on ourselves..
I recently took a journey up to one of our local attractions in the San Luis Valley. This local attraction happened to be Zapata Falls. It was my first time. I didn’t really know what to expect. I have to say when I first got up there, I was a little disappointed. All I saw was this little frozen water fall.
Then a family came up behind me, and climbed up the ice and into a little cave. So, I decided to follow them. Boy, was I stoked, because I found some spectacular frozen water falls.
When it gets a little warmer out I will have to return and see the water falls flowing.
My five year old is always asking me, “Daddy can I use your phone or camera to take pictures”. I love the fact she wants to take pictures. Usually the ones on my phone turn out not so good, but that’s not the point. The point is to try and develop her love of photography. Recently she used a little Cybershot camera and took the two landscape pictures. Not bad for a five year old!!!
My wife took this picture.
After taking this picture I used Google to look up The Road Less Traveled to see what I could find, and I came across this Robert Frost poem with a similar title. Enjoy!
The Road Not Taken
By Robert Frost
Two roads diverge in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth:
Then took the other, as just as fair,
and having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
This is really the only mall I would want to spend hours upon hours at.
When I traveled back to Washington D.C. last weekend, I was able to catch the Cherry Blossoms blooming. Its always a treat to photograph these gems. I have taken pictures of them before, but now I know what I’m doing. (Or I like to think so anyway)
